What is Google Analytics, and how can it measure SEO results?

I would like to talk about how to analyze the effects of SEO in the final article “Basic Knowledge on SEO that web personnel want to know”.

What is Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is used as an access analysis tool to analyze the effects of SEO.

Google Analytics is a free access analysis tool that allows you to analyze your site’s access up to 10 million PV per month.

Even after the website is completed, we use Google Analytics to analyze SEO effects. The effect of SEO varies from site to site; especially for new URLs it’ll take at least a month to get started.

because it doesn't give us a temporary sense of effectiveness We aim to draw a gentle growth curve from a long-term perspective.

get a log from the ranking

In access analysis, the ranking of search results on a website is also one indicator. it's important to check the number of visitors This is the image that we analyze from the footprints of people who visit our website.

We will grasp the situation from various perspectives, such as how many visitors were increased by keyword search other than site name and how much of a search keyword type has been increased.

We will stop explaining the details of how to use Google Analytics, but we will introduce two points that should be kept at a minimum.

check the site's attracting status

The number of visitors to the site is summarized in a “gathering” report, where you can see the numbers for each “channel” about how they’ve been to the site.

From natural search, we will check the customer attraction status by “Organic Search”, i. e. , the number of visitors who did not have a site but reached the result that they were searching for. As this figure grows, you can feel the effect of SEO measures.

You can change the scope of your chart by day, week or month and check the number of inflows per keyword, time spent by visitors, and browsing page.

It is useful as a material when you are lost in any judgment because it can grasp by numbers what day of the week people come together easily and how much content on the page is being read.

what kind of keywords are you visiting the site?

A way to know what keywords a visitor has visited the website is to check their landing page, which is the first page that visitors have accessed in your site. Remember that you don’t necessarily get to the top page at first.

Note that the landing page also contains inflows other than natural search, so you first narrow down your display to only the results of a natural search with “segment”, and then you can see what pages are visited first.

Next, we’ll see what keywords each landing page is influencing visitors. We know that keywords with a high bounce rate are not responding to the needs of our visitors, so you need to guess what they’re looking for and reflect them on their content.

More useful pages for visitors will increase overall website ratings and reliability, and SEO benefits will also be increased. It should be.

With Google Analytics, you can not only verify the effectiveness of SEO but also use it as a reference information when renewing your website; if you look at the contents of an existing site, you will see points that should be improved, so it should help to build sites that respond more to customer needs.

SEO measures introduced over a period of five days. We have provided basic knowledge for beginners this time, but our company offers proposals and support for more specific measures. Please feel free to contact us.
