Using our arts appreciation allowance to attend Henning Schmiedt's piano concert

that we just started at our company. Art appreciation allowance For the first time, I went to a concert by Henning Schmitt last month. Henning Schmitt is a pianist from former East Germany and I've released 'Henning Schmitt' so far. Wolken (cloud) 』『 Spazieren (= scattered walk) I love “I’m in Fukuoka!” and when I knew that I would come to Fukuoka, I went there alone with my husband's children. A concert by myself was a luxurious enough time for me, but it was a rich moment where the high-quality air was sucked up and my heart bulging greatly.

music in which fragmentary scenes appear one after another

The place is the Japanese Evangelical Lutheran Hakata Church, about a 10-minute walk from Nakasugawabata station and just a short walk away from the bustle of downtown. When you enter it, you will see Gothic-style high ceilings and beautiful pipe organs that are not large in size. Unlike ordinary concert venues or live houses, churches feel solemn.

and it was played on the new album Walzer When I touched the sound raw, rather than listening to it from speakers and headphones, my heart gradually became loose, hot and free. When wrapped in Henning Schmitt's music, a fragmentary scene appears one after another for some reason. The sound of snow falling silently down, the light of distant house windows, the whispering ripples in my ears, the appearance of birds flying high into cloudy skies -- something that was felt somewhere and reflected on my head and mind is floating up and disappearing with the flow of sound.

It's also important to carefully select the information coming from your ears.

The atmosphere of the concert hall has been around for a long time, and it seems that there is some tense air in which even small chopsticks resonate. It seems like ears are sharpened more than usual. What I feel again is that the sound touched by live music is "Pianissimo Pianissimo." When heard on CD, little weak sounds are hard to convey its subtlety, but if you hear them raw they will be able to hear such tiny snow crystal-like sounds.

I think that the information coming in from your ears, unlike from your eyes and mouth or hands, has the ability to quickly and deeply convey it. In my everyday life, I feel like you don't choose what you hear more carefully than what you put into your mouth. That is why sometimes I want to cherish that feeling.

After the concert, I was fascinated by Mr. Henning's gentle smile and he gave me an autograph, bought a sheet of music for my sister who is a piano class teacher on Christmas presents, ran back to her husband and children in a fierce dash.

I would like to go somewhere next time to take the art appreciation allowance, as well as heart nourishment!
