Our work: The Book of Tea — A New Translation
We produced an image movie and photographed the new translation of “Cha no hon” which is serialized on our EC site yori.
The book is a series of English-language books written by Japanese art thinker OKAKURA Tenshin, shortly after the Russo-Japanese War before he entered World War I. This new translation was interpreted by Takasaki in his research.

We aimed to create a video that conveys an image of elegant and quiet Japanese with the emphasis on aesthetic sense that has been passed down in Japan.
On the other hand, tea books are not old and distant; they give us a deep awareness of what we live today.
It is because I want you to read the anxiety of war again in recent years that covers the world, so we did shooting with a newness and a performance conscious of omission.
We hope you can enjoy the tea time facing each other in a quiet time.
