Good evening.
I am Takasaki, the representative director of non-standard world Co. , Ltd.

Thank you very much for your hard work in spite of the sudden guidance.

I'm here, Akita Sato, and as far as I can tell, the best designers in all of the universe make a ship called "Company" and go on a journey.

In retrospect, for two years as a freelancer, I have abandoned the signboard of SoftBank’s stable company from a general perspective and felt like I had been fighting about what can be done when I stand alone in society under the name “Kenji Takasaki.

The route was by no means sloppy.
There were many failures in interpersonal relations, and there were also mistakes about money that bothered others.
There were times when I felt very scared that it was pressure to let my wife and child eat with a single arm, or “make something” which I liked so much without being able to accept the various expectations and requests from stakeholders.

But why did it last so long?

Looking back, I think there was only one word in my heart.

"You can't live unless you are strong, and if you are not gentle, you cannot live."

It's a line that the detective says in the novel "Playback" by hardboiled writer Raymond Chandler, but I think it can be said exactly the same thing for business.

You can't live without that strength, unless you have the ability to deliver what people want.
If you repeat the exploitation of people only for the purpose of making money, it is not qualified to live and will be deceived someday.

With that feeling, I managed to survive the last two years.

And why do we build a company again and keep trying to make something?
This time, I want to add one of our original phrases.

"You can't live unless you are strong, you cannot live without being gentle, and if you don't have imagination there is no joy in living."

The name "non-standard world" can be seen as a company that often thinks out of common sense, but in fact it has a little deeper meaning.
In Buddhism, it is believed that the mind of a person can be divided into two parts: standard world and non-standard world.
The standard world is the part that controls the movement of a person's mind, adapts to his/her needs and lies in order to do well with relationships.The non-standard world stands for softer parts within people's hearts, naked emotions, imagination which are completely unaffected by such things.

I think that it is because art works, movies, products and services from the east to west have touched people until now (non-standard world) which has touched them.

So if you look back at what we want to do, I would like to use our art, technology and business skills to create something that impresses people; I think it's all about appealing to the pure imagination of humans.
And this company is a ship for that.

Since I was already 30 years old, starting a business is not only good things but also hard things that may be difficult.
The rail doesn’t exist unless someone pulls it and makes it themselves.
Even so, we would like to make efforts step by step with this word in mind.
