With the start of 2016, we were making a gift for our customers who had been close to us during four years since our founding, and this time we created an original postcard with greetings from the New Year.

The postcard is a photo taken by art director Sato on the journey, and I chose one that reminds me of each landscape in spring, summer, autumn and winter.

What do I think of this year? Looking up at the cherry trees in the blue sky, listening to the waves while bathing in the sun, being pushed back by the wind running through and seeing spring again on a quiet walk.

The movement of the little heart, perhaps it may be a moment, but we still want to keep in touch with that movement.

Every day you can easily get in touch with someone by email or LINE, and if you look at a social network, you will be able to see the recent situation of friends living far away. That makes you feel that the act of telling something to somebody is light and thinner than it is sometimes.

While there are many useful communication tools, taking a pen and writing letters may be a bit of an cumbersome task to put your thoughts into words. But I think that there is a voice you can't hear while typing with your fingertips and the temperature of words you cannot tell from LCD screens. Moreover, if we could have time to take a deep breath to communicate something more deeply, then it led us to a plan to give postcards.

365 days in 2016, just one day out, so I hope this card will move your heart gently for the “gifter” and those who receive it.
