Before leaving Reykjavik on a rental car, I stood up and stretched out to the village where Cigar Ross’ studio was located.

A place called lafoss, about 40 minutes by bus from Reykjavik.

After a short run, you will find an amazing view right next to it.
A contrast between vast nature and a house with idyllic atmosphere.

I got off the bus for the time being, but is there really a place like this?

Alafos

While there were few people, I finally found out and asked my uncle who was walking.

It is said that the pool was modified and built.

There is an Icelandic horse on the ranch opposite.

There is also a bridge in the back stream.

Anyway, it was a quiet place.
But right next to it, there is an untouched nature and I am very convinced that the music created here.

A few months ago, I was playing with The Album Leaf in my own band and at that time I knew why Jimmy Ravel praised the studio's environment so much (The Album Leaf is working on an album for Cigar Ross).

I want to make a studio and atelier in Iceland one day.

Then rent a car and go to the north.
Run along National Route 1 around Iceland.

When I started running, I realized that there were only a few people and cars.
Outside of town, there was almost no one up to the horizon at 360 degrees.

The weather in Iceland is changeable.
It rains and stops every few minutes.

And the rainbow came out, and I saw it many times every day.

Iceland, the land.

The earth was covered with moss to the horizon.

Sometimes I walk past the village.
There is also a modern design church.

And take a break at the drive-in.

The more you drive, the more scenery you’ve never seen.
Next time, the journey will still continue.
